When you can combine three of your kid’s top favorite foods (in this case, pizza, pasta ,and cheese) together with healthy ingredients, you know you have a winning recipe. This is also the one way Missy gets some kids to eat whole-grain pasta because it’s blanketed with the melted cheese, so they can’t tell it’s not their usual white noodles.

  • 3/4 Cups store-bought pizza sauce
  • 1/4 Cup Sneaky Chef Orange Puree
  • 1 large store-bought pizza crust, ideally whole grain
  • 1 Cup cooked macaroni
  • 1 1/2 Cup part-skim shredded mozzarella cheese

For the Sneaky Chef Orange Puree

  • 1 medium sweet potato or yam, peeled and chopped
  • 3 medium to large carrots, peeled and sliced into chunks
  • 3 Tablespoons water

Folate equivalent (total)150µg38%

  • 1 lb bacon
  • 1-1/2 Tbsp bacon fat (reserved from bacon)
  • 2 Tbsp flour
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 4 cups shredded extra sharp cheddar cheese, divided
  • 1/4 tsp ground mustard
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup dry elbow macaroni, cooked
  • 1 lb pizza dough

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 400°F. Lay out the bacon slices in a single layer on a baking sheet. Cook the bacon until crisp, but still slightly underdone. Remove the bacon from the baking sheet and drain it on a paper towel-lined plate. Reserve the bacon fat for later use.

Increase the oven temperature to 450°F. Set aside 6 whole slices of bacon and chop the remaining bacon. Add the flour and 1-1/2 Tbsp of bacon fat to a medium-size saucepan. Cook, while stirring, on medium heat for 30 seconds. Add the milk and bring to a simmer, stirring constantly. When the sauce begins to simmer, remove the pan from the heat and add 2 cups of the shredded cheese, mustard, salt, and pepper. Stir until all of the cheese has melted, returning the pan to the heat, if needed. Add the chopped bacon and the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce and stir to combine. Set aside.

Spray a 12" pizza pan with cooking spray. Spread the pizza dough out on the pan so there is about an 1-1/2" hanging over the diameter. Cut the whole slices of bacon in half widthwise and lay it out creating a circle about 1" from the edge of the crust. Stuff the bacon into the crust by folding the dough over the bacon creating a 1/2" raised edge. Pinch the dough to seal the edge on the inside. Brush the crust with the reserved bacon fat. Spread 1 cup of cheese over the pizza. Spread the bacon mac and cheese near the edge of the dough. Top with the remaining cheese.

Bake for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, remove the pizza from the pan with a large spatula and put the pie directly on the oven rack. Bake for an additional 10 minutes. Slide the pizza back onto the pan and remove it from oven. Let the pizza cool for at least 5 minutes before slicing.

Mac and Cheese Crusted Pizza

Preheat oven to 400°F. Prepare pasta according to package directions, adding 1 tablespoon of the kosher salt to boiling water. While pasta cooks, melt butter in a large saucepan over medium. Whisk in flour cook, whisking constantly for 1 minute. Gradually whisk in milk cook, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens, about 10 minutes. Remove from heat, and whisk in pepper and remaining 1 teaspoon salt.

Add milk-flour mixture, Cheddar, 1 cup of the mozzarella, and 1/4 cup of the Parmesan to cooked pasta, and stir until well combined. Stir in eggs and panko. Evenly spread macaroni mixture in a 16-inch pizza pan lightly coated in cooking spray. Sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup Parmesan over macaroni mixture. Bake in preheated oven until lightly golden around edges and on top, 20 to 25 minutes.

Spread pizza sauce evenly over the &ldquocrust&rdquo, leaving a 1-inch border. Top with mushrooms, pepperoni, and remaining 1 cup mozzarella. Return to oven, and bake until cheese is melted and slightly bubbly, about 5 minutes. Sprinkle with basil and crushed red pepper, if desired.

Aldi Makes Carb Dreams Come True with New Macaroni & Cheese Pizza

Ahhhh, the dilemma. You want something warm, cheesy, and comforting, but you can&apost decide between macaroni and cheese or a slice (or two) of pizza. They&aposre both so good.

As time passes, your belly is growling ever louder. So instead of deciding, you choose to make both, thinking you&aposll eat half and half, but end up eating all of it. Carb overload!

Now there&aposs a better solution: Aldi has given us quite the gift with a pizza pie that has mac n&apos cheese toppings on it. This way, you can get the best of both worlds all in one.

It&aposs a time saver and a money saver. Plus, it&aposs just a great combination that seems too good to be true — but it isn&apost!

Known as the Mama Cozzi&aposs Thin Crust Macaroni & Cheese pizza, this 12-inch pie takes only 15 minutes to cook in the oven, so you can enjoy it in a snap. Plus, it&aposs super affordable, coming in at $4 a box.

The pizza features a thin crust, which lightens up the pie a bit, and it comes packed with mozzarella, cheddar, a thick cheddar cheese sauce, and tasty macaroni for the toppings. Plus, it&aposs under 500 calories a serving, if you can believe it. If you can manage some portion control, it&aposs a solid meal. (Add a side salad, of course.)

And even better news? Apparently there&aposs another version that includes crispy bacon on top, but it seems to be hidden online right now. We&aposll give you an update once it&aposs revealed.

Easy Macaroni and Cheese pizza

One of our favorite lunch spots is a wood-fire pizza place that makes a favorite amongst kids and adults alike. You guessed it… macaroni and cheese. They simply put macaroni and cheese on a pizza crust and bake it all up. The kids eat it up like candy.

This is my version. A bit heartier and a bit more friendly to the grown-up crowd. I still use the macaroni and cheese but add in several kinds of cheese, crushed crackers, and put it in a deep-dish crust. [easyazon_link identifier=”B00006JSUA” locale=”US”]Cast iron[/easyazon_link] works great for this.

This is a great way to use up any leftover cheeses you might have (although, who has that? right.) particularly the soft whites. Gouda, mozzarella, Parmesan, and white cheddar are the favorites in my house, I like to fill my crust to the top, if possible, with all that cheesy goodness!

Top the cheese with crushed butter crackers. No need to get fancy, simply grab several and crush them on top. It’ll be amazing! Drizzle a bit of olive oil on top and you are good to go!

The best part of this macaroni pizza recipe is the gooey cream cheese filling…don’t skip that part. Or the cracker crumble. Don’t skip that part either. And for goodness sakes….use good macaroni and cheese!! None of the no-name stuff. Get the good stuff. We recommend shells…they’re awesome on this pizza!

1 2/3 cup elbow macaroni
4 ounces American cheese slices, cut into strips
2 eggs, lightly beaten
2 tablespoons olive oil

3/4 cup tomato sauce
1 clove garlic, minced
1 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
1 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
16 slices pepperoni

For Crust: Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

Bring a large saucepan of salted water to a boil. Add macaroni and cook until tender but still firm, 6-8 minutes. Drain pasta.

While pasta is still warm, return it to the saucepan and toss with American cheese and eggs.

Lightly brush a 12" pizza pan or ovenproof skillet with oil. Spread pasta mixture in the pan, pressing firmly with the back of a wooden spoon. Bake crust for 10 minutes.

For Toppings: Spread tomato sauce evenly over the pasta, leaving a 1" border around the edges. Sprinkle with garlic and oregano, then top with mozzarella. Place pepperoni slices on pizza in a spiral pattern.

Bake pizza until cheese is melted and bubbly, about 20 minutes. Cut into wedges and serve.

Does anyone have the recipe for the Cici's Pizza macaroni and cheese pizza?

Used to work there for a year and a half while I was in high school. It’s basically large noodles and EZMac/Kraft Mac n Cheese type cheese on pizza dough.

I’m not kidding. It came in powder form in a big packet, we’d mix it with water, and let it sit in the fridge to congeal.

While typing it out, it doesn’t sound good, but for some reason, I still enjoyed it till the day I stopped working there. Lol

So basically follow snakes advice, but literally use the cheap ish boxed Mac and cheese mix.

Thank you! I was hoping that I would get a Cici's employee to share the recipe. I'll definitely make this soon

Well, I have to say I agree with OP here. There’s something about the way that pizza comes together that is hard to quantify, making it better than it probably has a “right” to be.

Don’t have an answer, then don’t post. But being a schmuck only makes you look bad.

I haven't had it, but taking a look at the picture on their website, the macaroni appears to be either thick elbows or cavatappi. Cheese looks like a standard blend of cheddar with some sort of white sauce.

Iɽ probably look up a simple white sauce Mac and cheese recipe or find a fancy box version (Cracker Barrel has a nice couple of bagged varieties that cook quick and easy (get the bags - the boxes don't have seasoning). Also get a crust from the store - my recommendation is Boboli Thin Crust.

Make the macaroni. Get some of the sauce (no macaroni!) and spread it on the pizza. Bake in the oven on a pizza stone/steel at 500° until about halfway done, roughly 4-5 minutes. Take out, spread some macaroni and more sauce on the pizza (not too much, or the crust will be too soggy), and then cook for the remainder of the time, until the crust is nice and crispy and the macaroni is baked nicely but not too dry.

Also, don't let haters get you down. Eat what you like and like what you eat!
